OKANAGAN WINE FESTIVALS

Winter, Spring, Summer & Fall Festivals

Did you know the Okanagan hosts four wine festivals, one each season of every year? Make Let's Go Transportation Kelowna Wine Tour your tour company of choice for any of the Okanagan Wine Festival!

The Spring Okanagan Wine Festival

It’s been called one of Canada’s best small festivals, and it’s right here in the Okanagan.

After watching their vines sleep for months, local BC winemakers and vineyards celebrate the arrival of spring and the waking of the vines with a glass – or two – of wine. And our BC winemakers want you to join them.

They’re sociable like that. Spread over the first ten days in May, the Spring Okanagan Wine Festival busts loose with over 100 events throughout the valley and it continues to grow each year. The Festival is deeply rooted in Okanagan terroir – which you’ll experience through a plethora of dining and wine-ing events. From light lunches to gourmet dinners served in spectacular settings, the wine and food community will wow you – year after year.

Whether you come for a day, a weekend or a week, the Spring Okanagan Wine Festival is a great way to meet the season’s new debutante wines and taste what the Okanagan is truly all about. Great wine. Gourmet food. Gracious hospitality.

Celebrate spring, Okanagan style.

The Summer Okanagan Wine Festival

Summer Okanagan Wine FestivalRemember Summer? Remember aching for its arrival? Then the big moment: school’s out, Summer’s breathless entrance, the taste of freedom. So what happened? The puppy love ebbed, responsibilities set in, Time shrouded exuberant Summer. But Summer still lives somewhere. She lives in the Okanagan. This is her stronghold, where her exuberance doesn’t fade. And this year, she’s getting a makeover.

Yes, The Summer Okanagan Wine Festival is bringing you the almost excruciatingly gorgeous Summer experience: outdoor wine tastings with more bold flavored wines than you could ever desire; summer wine and cheese beach parties; road bike race tailgate parties in vineyard settings; the visceral sound of Spoken Word poetry matched with equally feisty wines.

We could go on, but with over 30 eclectic events over 10 days at the height of Summer’s beauty in her own territory, you might find it a bit, um, inebriating. The table is set, the wine is decanted, and Summer is waiting for you

The Fall Okanagan Wine Festival

Warm, desert days and cool nights. It’s just what the doctor – or in this case, viticulturist – ordered to ripen our grapes and prepare for harvest. It also makes it a great time to visit the Okanagan.

For ten days in October – ending on the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend – the Annual Fall Okanagan Wine Festival is a celebration of earthly delights. With over 165 events happening around the valley, well…you get the picture. We’re the only festival in North America to happen at the heart of harvest. Must be something in the wine.

Join us for a vineyard tour, lunch among the vines or dine on a waterfront patio. Take in a seminar. Learn food and wine pairings from award-winning Okanagan chefs. Whatever you choose, do it early: events sell out weeks (and months) in advance.

The secret is out; ranked among the top 100 events by the American Bus Association, the Fall Okanagan Wine Festival is growing every year. New wines, old friends. Gourmet meals under starry skies. And a glass of great BC wine.

The Winter Okanagan Wine Festival

While the vines are snoozing through the winter, our Okanagan winemakers are hard at work. Well, okay – they get a break from time to time. And they want you to visit them.

Set in January at the magnificent alpine setting of Sun Peaks Resort, our annual Winter Okanagan Wine Festival is one of a kind. From skiing and snowboarding, to wine seminars and progressive tastings, this is a unique experience – kind of like our award winning icewines and a hot tub. Now that’s a good wine pairing.

Start the day with a great run on fresh powder, pop in for a seminar led by a wine master and end up at a winemaker’s dinner – yes, with the winemaker. They like fresh powder, too.

Crisp mountain air. A crackling fireplace. Good friends, great BC wine. That’s winter.
